Three words to describe the church  Dedicated, inviting, lively

Why visit  You’ll find joyful, earnest liturgy appropriate to the season, with clear, applicable, Biblical teaching. You’ll join with a congregation dedicated to learning about their faith—with educational opportunities for all ages. A warm and welcoming group of people will invite you into their fellowship and make a place for you. A place where you can use your gifts in the service of God and of others. At Holy Trinity, you’ll be welcome to journey with others on their way to becoming disciples.

Children at Holy Trinity, Ocean CityAccomplishment you’re proud of  One of our women’s groups learned that St Paul’s Chapel in New York City was spending $3000 a day feeding those involved with the work at the World Trade Center site. They wanted to do something to help. Two women went to the vestry and challenged them to match the funds that the women’s group raised—which they did. Both women’s groups at our church make sure to empty their treasuries at the end of every year, ensuring their tradition of good works.

Key event in history  We took a great risk when we moved from cramped, land-locked quarters to a larger campus. Our new location is on a major thoroughfare, so we have greater visibility and adequate parking. This took vision and involved a lot of challenges to the parish. We did it!

Greatest challenge  I’d say it’s to respond to the changing demographics of our community—and to maintain the geographically wide area from which we draw.

Theme hymn  “Tu has venido a la orilla.” Here is a verse:

You have come down to the lake shore,
Seeking neither the wise nor the wealthy,
But only asking for me to follow.
