Founded 1921 Vicar The Reverend Harroldean Ashton Parishioners 170 Three words to describe the parish Worshipful, diverse, friendly Accomplishment
you’re proud of I must choose two: Our recent Women’s
Day celebration honored the oldest female member of our parish and
gave our youth a chance to recognize the women of each decade. And
it offered the men a chance to show hospitality. Second, our work
with the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in its efforts to
reach the African-American community in health education. Every year
St Alban’s co-sponsors a luncheon seminar, with informative
talks, panel discussion, music, and good food. Now nearly 200 people
take part. And beyond that, 19 of our people have opted for emergency
medical training at the hospital. We’re the only parish in the
diocese, as far as we know, with a defibrillator! Key event in history The increase in stewardship from our members—and their willingness to explore ways to encourage its continuance. Greatest challenge Church growth and evangelism. Theme
