Today my rather quiet alma mater high school was reeling from the shooting death of one if its students, age 16, in the school cafeteria at 8:11 AM.  Your prayers are bid for the students, parents, and school community.  It may be a time also to reflect on what we would we do should such an incident occur in a school near us or for some of our families.  Our disaster chaplaincy in New York did a study of the 9-11 workers and found unexpectedly that statistically more post traumatic stress syndrome showed up among those farthest from the incident itself.
