St. Barnabas has done a collection of 500 "gently used", cleaned prom
dresses which are available to any girl with a valid High School i.d. (one
per person) from anywhere.  This is an effort to make it possible for girls
to attend their proms who otherwise would not be able to for economic
reasons.  Please note the specific pick-up times.  Some accessories may be
available as well.  Any questions, please e-mail the people on the flyer, or
call St. Barnabas at 732-297-4607.

You can be a real life godparent to a Cinderella

who might not otherwise make it to the ball. 

Hi everyone, 

We wanted to thank everyone who generously donated incredibly beautiful prom
dresses to Hope's Chest.  

Since this is Hope's Chest first year, we really did not know what our
turnout would be. We thought that if we received 125 dresses the collection
would be a success. Thanks to you though, it is now our new goal, to make
500 girls that cannot afford a prom dress this year.really happy! Yes, we
received over 500 dresses! 

Now that we have collected the dresses we need to spread the word FAST that
the prom dresses are available and will be given out at St. Barnabas church
on April 18 & April 25 from 10:00a.m. - 1:00p.m. until our inventory runs
out. Girls must present a valid High School ID. 

You can help by: 

1)      Spread the word.  If you or your friends and family know of a
student that needs a dress, please invite them to our PROM DRESS GIVEAWAY on
April 18 & 25th.

2)      We will be sending flyers to as many high schools and churches as
possible, BUT if you have contacts in a particular high school or at a
church, we invite you to personally spread the word there too.  Perhaps they
can post the flyer! NOTE:  Let's try to concentrate on the Southern half of
the state.  There is a similar program already in place to help girls up
North. 

3)      If anyone else has a creative idea to reach the students - by all
means, go for it! 

We will let you know how we do on April 18th & 25th!
